Experian Pulls The Plug On FICO

Experian is NOT renewing its contract with Fair Issac (FICO) for using its scoring model.: This means when consumers go to credit sites they will no longer be recieving an Experian score. They will still be able to get their Equifax and Trans Union. FICO scoring is used by 85-90% of the 100 largest financial institutions.

Many consumers are frustrated because they will be unable to get their FICO scores.: They think its unfair, on one hand Experian is selling your information and when you want to buy a car or a home you would like to get your score right?

Here is a dirty little secret(s).: When you get online and get a copy of your credit report and your score, what score is it? Did you know that their is a different scoring model if you are buying consumer goods vs a car loan vs a home loan?

If you are shopping for a car or home chances are you are not going to get the score you are looking for,: most likely you will get the consumer score. There that has to make your day! Complicated, changing scoring models and errors, its no wonder everyone is frustrated with this system.
